@philz96 he didn't have the iPad connected to the screen. that was a slideshow or something. but you can connect an iPad/iPhone/iPod to a monitor by using an apple composite av cable. or an apple component av cable for HD videos.

I'm getting one soon... I still think they should just call it iTouch XL or iTouch Large though...because If you look at the features, really all it is is just a large iPod touch with a big screen. Question though... Does the iPad come with voice control like the itouch 32 & 64gb?

@djvirus64 Have I tried it? Like I said, billions of people read on LCD's hours straight everyday, it's called work. I think you seem to be finding a difference between reading books on LCD and web pages. It is the same thing. It is all text. You probably don't complain when you read web pages for a while.

@Kirky5551 Have you tried an iPad? Given, you have very valid points, but your conclusions from those points may be flawed. I actually have read a book on an iPad, infact its the first book I voluntarily read in 5 years. I can assure you I would not have done it had the experience been bad. Its not the same as reading it on a laptop. You are right in that it doesn't support flash, which is a bummer. However, I've yet to see anything work as well as it for what it does, and battery life is GREAT!

@duganator100 Reading on an LCD is really bad. Not painfull but it gives you tears after a couple of hours of reading... Have you tried it? Cause I had, and the problem with the LCD is due to reduced screen brightnes, picture sharpness... A crt monitor isn't better... the point is... if you want to read it's better to take that book, or text print it out and read it that way. For eg try learnin' for exams reading the course from your monitor...

@Kirky5551 Reading on an LCD is painful? I'm not sure if you noticed, but millions of people read on LCDs all day long completely painlessly. Also, you may not have noticed this also, but major websites have made huge strides in HTML5 adoption in just the last few months. Including this very one. Saying that HTML5 won't be major for at least the next 5 years sounds like a very uninformed statement. In 5 years, Flash may very well be extinct.
